I get by with a little help from my friends….
….or my wife in this case
I was sick this last weekend, and found myself in an interesting situation…
See, I’m married. Which, in this case, means that I have a loving wife who takes care of me, even when I’m acting like a big baby, and makes sure that I won’t die on her watch. This truly is an amazing set up. I mean, no matter how bad I am feeling she will try her hardest to make sure I am the most comfortable as possible, and that I am well hydrated with sprite and gatoraide ice pops. I cannot complain whatsoever.
Now, what makes this all interesting is that my wonderful wife works on the weekends. She makes people’s lives amazing as a wedding coordinator at a chapel, and gives up her weekends to make other’s lives more special. This is commendable, and I find it all wholly adorable.
With this is mind, one must then realize that if (1) I am sick on a weekend and (2) my wife works on the weekends, that must (=) that I am sick alone on the weekends. Now, my wife is not gone the entire weekend (Thank God) so she does her best in these situations. Yet, the majority of the time, I am left alone on the couch, playing a game or watching some TV.
The amazing part is, because of what I can only describe as her own sheer determination and unwillingness to let me feel bad, I can make it by. Even though I am home alone she takes care of me in her absence. She makes sure that I have everything I need to make it through the night, and be okay until morning. In short, I’m pretty sure I married Supergirl…seriously….
i love her….
